This section will summarize regulatory information from the fourteen jurisdictions in Canada (federal, provincial, and territorial). It will also discuss Canada's "right-to-know" legislation - the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS); duties and responsibilities of employers, supervisors, and workers; work refusals; and due diligence. The "Chemicals and Materials" section has more detailed information on material safety data sheets (MSDSs) required under WHMIS.
