Emergency Repair Program
(Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation)

Assists low-income homeowners or occupants in rural areas make emergency repairs required for the continued safe occupancy of their houses. Household incomes must be at or below established ceilings for their area. Assistance is in the form of a fully forgivable loan based on a maximum established for the area. Funding expires March 31, 2007.

Provide assistance to Aboriginal households in need in rural areas to make emergency repairs to their homes.
