On June 29, 2005, the Consulate of Canada in Anchorage hosted the first Canada Day Picnic & Celebration for Canadians and friends of Canada at Kincaid Park. Consul General Jeffrey Parker from the Canadian Consulate General in Seattle and Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich spoke about the Canada-Alaska relationship to a crowd of almost 200. Guests enjoyed live music, Canadian beef and refreshments. |
