Alaska Brass Concert 2006

On March 19, the Consulate of Canada in Anchorage hosted a performance by Alaska Brass of the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific at the Wilda Marston Theater in Anchorage.  The band performed a selection of Canadian and American brass pieces to a large and appreciative audience. Canada and the United States share a long tradition of cooperation in defending our continent and fighting for freedom at home and in the rest of the world.  From the defence of Alaska in World War II, through NORAD during the Cold War, today and into the future, our forces remain partners in continental defence.  The Consulate was honored to work with Alaska Brass on this celebration of Canadian and U.S. brass music and Canada-U.S. partnership.
