The paper copy is still considered the official and legal copy. CATOs issued under the '30-day rule' will be published here once they receive official status.

Cadet Administrative and Training Orders (CATOs) are issued by National Defence Headquarters/Director Cadets to:

• Supplement Queen's Regulations and Orders with respect to cadets
• Amplify Canadian Forces Administrative Orders (CFAOs) and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAODs)
• To minimize the requirement for specialized Region Orders and Instructions.

CATOs are published under the authority of the Chief of the Defence Staff.
