AECL is commissioning new dedicated medical isotopes production facilities at the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL).

The Dedicated Isotope Facilities consist of the MAPLE 1 and MAPLE 2 reactors - which will provide a long-term secure supply of isotopes - and the New Processing Facility (NPF).

AECL continues to apply significant resources to the task of completing this project. The focus of these project activities included licensing, commissioning, and preparations for Operations.
