AECL’s Community Speakers’ Program is an education focused outreach program that pairs knowledgeable employees with groups that are interested in learning more about the nuclear industry.

Our speakers take great pleasure in visiting organizations and schools to talk about the uses, benefits, and misconceptions about nuclear energy – as well as the important role it will play in ensuring a clean, reliable, safe and affordable energy supply for the future.

Their role is to deliver presentations and facilitate discussions that focus on particular topics requested by the group and particular emphasis is placed on striving to answer questions in simple, meaningful terms.
