PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Money Matters is a hands-on educational program about bank
notes prepared by the Bank of Canada for students ages 10
to 14 who visit the Currency Museum. Students learn about
where the money in their wallets comes from, who is responsible
for making it, and how they can be sure that it is the real
thing that they are handling. They also find out why some
of Canada’s bank notes have a new look.
Students are divided into four groups to investigate, with
the aid of a Museum interpreter, different aspects of Canadian
bank notes.
