The Canadian Directory of Dance on Tour profiles Canadian dance companies and artists for the information of international dance promoters. It is designed to be a working tool for international dance promoters, venue managers and festival directors – everyone interested in the work of Canadian dance artists.

The companies and artists profiled in this directory were selected by the Dance Section at the Canada Council for the Arts. The companies and dance artists were selected based on their previous touring experience and their ability to tour works internationally, specifically European and Asian markets. All works promoted in this directory are available for touring internationally over the next 12 to 18 months. Hence, this directory is not an exhaustive listing of Canadian dance artists with an interest in international exposure. To find information on additional dance companies which tour, please refer to the listing of Canadian dance service organizations, festivals and presenters at the back of this directory, as well as the web site.

You can also find this information on the Canada Council’s web site, which will be updated on a regular basis, at ww.canadiandanceontour.ca. As part of the web site, you will be able to access video footage for most of the companies profiled in this directory and find further information on the Canadian dance presenting community.
