The DND/CF Help Line provides a safe means of obtaining support and qualified assistance for DND and CF personnel and their dependants as well as members of the Canadian Cadet Movement and the Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger Programs who have been, or currently are, victims of harassment or sexual assault.

Callers are provided with the needed administrative avenues as well as practical advice and assistance in seeking the resolution of their complaint.

The Help Line complements the DND/CF chain of command's efforts to provide a safe, non-threatening environment to the voicing of complaints within the workplace.

The CDS has advised the senior leadership to exercise their disciplinary responsibilities with respect to anyone who interferes with the right of a member or attempts to discourage, silence, intimidate, or retaliate against one attempting to seek assistance regarding a complaint of harassment or abuse.
