Administrative Assistant, Art Bank

Summary

Under the supervision of an Art Consultant provides administrative, contracting and scheduling services to a marketing team comprised of him/herself plus an Art Consultant and an Installation Technician.  The marketing team provides services for approximately 100 Art Bank rental clients.  Assists in promoting the Rental Program and performs other related duties.

Knowledge and skills

Excellent knowledge of computer database entry and extensive use of Microsoft Office software is required. The duties require the incumbent to possess a high degree of organizational skill in order to ensure that the team resources are utilized in a cost and time effective manner. The duties require good oral communication skills, initiative, judgment, flexibility, adaptability to changing procedures, and the ability to work within deadlines and under pressure. The incumbent must also have the ability to establish priorities and work with minimal supervision.  The operation of various types of office equipment is also required (e.g. fax, e-mail, voice-mail, photocopier, various printers etc). The ability to adapt to changing technologies is necessary.  This skill and knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a two-year community college program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

The position requires at least three years of related experience with increasingly responsible administrative duties. 

Language requirements

The incumbent is required to perform the duties of the position in both official languages. The requirements in the second official language are:

  • speaking: intermediate
  • reading comprehension: intermediate
  • writing: basic
