Welcome to the home page of the Status of Women Office. The Status of Women Office works to achieve social, economic and political equality for women.

On December 6th, Canadians commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

On March 8th, people around the world celebrate International Women's Day.

International Women's Day (IWD) is a time to reflect on women's advances towards equality, to celebrate their many achievements, and to recognize that there is still much work to be done.

The Status of Women Office is pleased once again to offer our grant program to women's groups and organizations for IWD events.
