About CCSA


The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) is Canada's national addictions agency. Established by an Act of Parliament in 1988, the Centre provides objective, evidence-based information and advice aimed at reducing the health, social and economic harm associated with substance abuse and addictions. read more

Annual Reports
The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse produces an annual report for tabling in the fall session of Parliament as part of its legislated mandate.

Board of Directors
CCSA's Board is composed of up to six Governor-in-Council (GIC) appointments and nine members-at-large. Directors are recruited from a number of sectors, including the business community, labour groups and professional and voluntary organizations.

CCSA Act
The CCSA was established by an Act of Parliament in 1988.
