CISILO Database on the World Wide Web

Hamilton... CCOHS has now released the CISILO database on its growing CCINFOweb internet service. Created by the International Labour Offices International Occupational Safety and Health Information Centre (CIS) in Geneva, CISILO covers the occupational health and safety literature published in its member countries around the world, whatever the format and the language. The database includes references to:

  • Legislation, regulations and directives
  • Chemical Safety Data Sheets
  • Training materials and methods; audiovisual aids
  • Computer databases, internet pages, multimedia training modules
  • Articles in scientific, technical and medical journals
  • Research reports, codes of practise, technical data sheets
  • Textbooks; monographs aimed at specialized and popular audiences

  The CCINFOweb collection of bibliographic databases now includes NIOSHTIC7 from the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, HSELINE from the HSE Information Service (UK), and CISILO. This comprehensive collection provides both the researcher and the field specialist with convenient access to the world=s key occupational health and safety literature, all from one convenient source. Users can quickly and easily search just one or all of the databasesCover 400,000 records simultaneouslyCsaving time, effort and money. CCOHS Web Site visitors are invited to search the collection, view the document titles, and see for themselves the breadth of valuable information offered. Access to the complete references is available by subscription.

The OSH Reference collection including all three databases is priced at only $595 for an annual subscription. Until April 15, 1999 the introductory price is $495. Annual subscriptions to the individual database are also available for $300. (Outside Canada prices are in US funds).
