Webinar on Ergonomics for Occupational Hygienists Helps Mark International RSI Awareness Day
HAMILTON, ON (February 21, 2006) - The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), in partnership with the Canadian Council of Occupational Hygiene (CCOH) is pleased to deliver a 90-minute webinar on Ergonomics for Occupational Hygienists.
The webinar, coinciding with International RSI Day, will be broadcast live on
Tuesday, February 28, 2006 1:00-2:30 pm (EDT)
from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
The webinar will feature Dr. Richard Wells as the presenter. Dr. Wells, BSc, MEng, PhD is a professor in the department of kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and Director of the Centre of Research Expertise for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (CRE-MSD).
The ergonomics-related topics that will be covered in the presentation include:
- Risk factors for Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders; identification, assessment and control
- Options for reducing Musculoskeletal Disorder risk
- What assessment tools you can use
- Ergonomics regulations across Canada
