Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) Announces Release of CANADIANA Database on the Web
HAMILTON, July 26, 2002 - The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), today announced the release of the web version of the CANADIANA Database, a unique collection of Canadian occupational health and safety information. Included in this collection are references to Canadian research reports and studies, plus journal articles, conference proceedings and unpublished materials. CANADIANA provides users with an essential source of Canadian-related information, including French-language literature.

CANADIANA adds a Canadian component to the international coverage of OH&S literature in
CCOHS' OSH References collection on the Web, which includes:
- OSHLINE(TM) with NIOSHTIC® With over 10,000 records, the OSHLINE bibliographic database provides authoritative, up-to-date coverage and concise summaries of published, peer-reviewed OSH-related literature from around the world. In addition, NIOSHTIC provides bibliographic references with summaries of over 200,000 other top international, peer-reviewed health and safety publications, including journal articles, research reports, books, studies and more, from the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Approximately 1,000 new references are added to OSHLINE every three months.
- CISILO, a bibliographic database with references to international occupational health and safety literature, is produced by International Occupational Safety and Health Information Centre/Centre international d'informations de sécurité et d'hygiène du travail (CIS) in Geneva. CIS scans more than 400 journals annually on basic safety and health topics.
- HSELINE is produced by HSE Information Service (UK) and provides more than 200,000 citations with abstracts to worldwide literature on occupational safety and health. The database includes all UK Health and Safety Commission and Health and Safety Executive publications as well as a wide range of periodicals, books, conference proceedings, reports and legislation.
Availability
The suggested list price for Canadiana on the Web as a stand-alone subscription is $300 and $250 upon renewal. The OSH References collection, now including Canadiana, is available for $595 and $545 upon renewal.
