New Publication From CCOHS' Health and Safety Specialists: Health & Safety Committees Reference Guide

HAMILTON... The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has released a new publication to help people understand their roles and responsibilities regarding the effective functioning of health and safety committees.

The Health and Safety Committees Reference Guide provides workers, employers and health and safety professionals with practical guidance on the form and function of health and safety committees. Its core sections explore several key issues:

  • Investigating accidents
  • Reviewing OH&S programs
  • Conducting workplace inspections
  • Identifying and taking steps to control work hazards

New committee members as well as seasoned professionals can use the guide as a practical reference tool. Committee members can also customize the many checklist examples included in the guide for their specific work environments.

Cost: $10.00 plus shipping and handling. Please contact CCOHS Client Services to order.
