Fourth Edition of "Indispensable" Occupational Health and Safety Encyclopaedia on Web Site

A revised and updated version of the publication described as "indispensable" by many experts in the OH&S field is now available on the World Wide Web by subscription along with the acclaimed CISILO database. Presented on the Web by CCOHS, the combined Encyclopaedia and CISILO database provides an exceptional resource of vital workplace-related data.

Written by more than 1,000 health and safety experts around the world, the Encyclopaedia of Occupational Health and Safety includes comprehensive coverage of topics of interest to safety professionals as well as other specialists such as lawyers, physicians, nurses, engineers, industrial hygienists, toxicologists and regulators.

This newest edition provides essential data on every aspect of occupational health and safety. For example, it includes details on over 2,000 chemicals including CAS registry numbers, synonyms, hazard information and much more.

The encyclopaedia can be used on its own or with CISILO, a bilingual, bibliographic database covering a vast range of topics in a wide variety of material including: legislation, regulations and directories, chemical safety data sheets, training materials and methods, research reports, codes of practice, technical data and articles in scientific, technical and medical journals. While each document cited in CISILO is presented in its original language, all database references are in English.

Both the CISILO database and the Encyclopaedia of Occupational Health and Safety are accessible via a standard web browser from any location. The search engine used is fast and flexible, allowing for both simple and complex queries and instant retrieval for printing and saving.
