Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) Announces Release of OSH Researcher

HAMILTON, May 24, 2002 - The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), today announced the release of OSH Researcher/Chercheur SST. This CD-ROM offers subscribers a convenient international collection of important bibliographic databases - CISILO, HSELINE and CANADIANA. Also adding value to this new CD-ROM is the French Chercheur SST collection, CISILO (French) and INRS - Bibliographie.

OSH Researcher provides authoritative, up-to-date coverage of the most relevant published OSH-related literature from around the world. With nearly 400,000 references, this collection covers such topics as ergonomics, toxicology, health and safety management and much more.

The integrated indexes allow users to search multiple databases in the bibliographic collection. In OSH Researcher, all the English databases can be searched together or separately and the same applies to the French Chercheur SST collection. Both instances provide immediate access to topical and dependable reference literature.

“In response to the ever-growing needs of working Canadians, CCOHS continues to enhance and update its services,” said Len Hong, President and Chief Executive Officer, CCOHS. “OSH Researcher reflects our commitment to providing health, safety and information specialists with the most current, relevant and reliable information on workplace hazards and the various methods of preventing illnesses and injuries at work.”
