What institutions offer occupational health and safety (OH&S) courses in Canada?The following table summarizes what OH&S degree, diploma, and certificate programs are offered in colleges and universities across Canada (listed from west to east). Since there may be other institutions offering similar courses that are not listed below, you should contact your local colleges and universities to find out if they offer a program that will meet your needs. Other programs like labour and workplace studies or engineering programs may have occupational health and safety components but do not provide an OH&S certificate. How can I find out if other OHS courses are offered? Check local libraries for university and college course calendars; however, most are now published on the Internet. Check universities and colleges in your area even if they are not listed in the above table to see if they offer workshops, professional development courses, training programs, certificates, diplomas or degrees in subject areas related to occupational health and safety. Also contact local safety councils and associations for information on training programs that they offer.
