CCC offers specialized contracting services for exporters selling to the U.S. Department of Defense. When Canadian companies sell through CCC, the Corporation assumes the role of Prime Contractor, and can help firms register to sell their products and services to the U.S. federal government.
The acquisition policies of the U.S. DoD, codified in the U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS and the DFARS) specify that all defence purchases from Canada above the US $100,000 must be transacted through the CCC.
CCC contracts transacted under the aegis of the Defense Production Sharing Arrangement or the Defense Development Sharing Agreement provide the U.S. DoD a comprehensive guarantee of contract performance backed by the Government of Canada.
CCC's involvement in your deal—as Prime Contractor—can result in you enjoying more favourable contract terms including a reduction or waiver of bid and performance bonds, payment guarantees, and the introduction
of advanced and progress payments on the contract.

What to expect
At the request of the U.S. DoD (DFARS 225.870), all purchases over U.S. US $100,000 from Canadian companies are to be contracted through CCC.
Your CCC project manager will ensure that you receive all the forms required to register your company to do business with the U.S. DoD. You simply provide CCC with the information and we will assist you in competing the necessary forms.
You prepare your bid in response to a Request for Proposal or other solicitation with CCC assistance to ensure your submission is compliant. CCC will review the offer to certify your capacity to deliver should you get the contract and certify that your price is fair and reasonable for U.S. DoD.

When you have receivables on a contract with CCC, you can now have access to immediate payments for project invoices through Receivables Discounting. This allows you to meet your immediate financial obligations without increasing your debt.
