Frank leads a team of Investment Directors focused on Information Technology across Canada. He joined BDC in 1991 and BDC Venture Capital in 1995.
Frank's experience includes working with the Corporate Finance Group at CP Rail where he reviews projects greater than $25 million. Prior to CP Rail, Frank was with Ernst & Young (E&Y), involved in planning, design and implementation of Strategic Information Technology plan, Systems Conversion, and Management Information Systems. While at E&Y he successfully turned around a division of Procter & Gamble. Frank has been a guest lecturer at SFU for the Executive MBA Program and MBA Information Technology and is currently a Director of Monte Jade Science and Technology Association (Western Canada), an international organization with 14 chapters in North America and Asia.
Frank Pho holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Steven joined the BDC in September 2001, after over eight years in investment banking with ScotiaMcLeod and two years as CFO of an interactive advertising agency. As a Director in corporate finance he participated in many IPO's, Privatizations, M&A advisory mandates, and equity and debt financings for companies in sectors including technology, transportation, and telecommunications. For the Internet company, he raised a first round of venture capital, did three acquisitions, two startups, and helped grow the company from 20 people to 145.
Steven Abrams holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University.

Prior to joining BDC Venture Capital, Michael was involved in a variety of businesses in the transportation, software, and high tech fields. While serving as Controller for a small software development firm, he gained financial analysis and management skills. He acquired knowledge of entrepreneurship by founding a trading business that was later sold to the industry leader. Most recently he served as the Director of Finance for AudeSi Technologies, a high tech BDC investee company.
Michael Dost holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary (1989) and an MBA from the University of British Columbia (1999).

John joined BDC Venture Capital in January 1997. He has over nineteen years of investment management experience with early stage technology companies. From 1987 to 1997, John held progressively senior investment management positions at Innovation Ontario Corporation, a venture capital firm involved in early stage technology investments. In that role, he worked closely with the board and management of over thirty early stage technology companies. From 1981 to 1986, John was an investment manager with the Ontario Energy Corporation, which invested in a variety of oil, gas, and energy-related technology companies.

Prior to joining BDC Venture Capital, Andrew Lugsdin was the founder and President of a consulting firm for early stage high tech companies, providing business planning and development services. Previously he helped grow a Vancouver professional web services firm into a Canadian leader in his role as Vice President of Sales and Client Strategy. Andrew has also worked for a number of years as a software engineer at Nortel and as a consultant at DMR Group.
Andrew Lugsdin holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and in Computer Science from McGill University.

Since 1979, Ngoc-Hung has been active in providing services in areas such as computerization of business information, database structure design, corporate organization, market research, and marketing management. His long track record was built up through well-known management consulting firms such as Bourbonnais & Partners, Touche Ross & Partners, Inno-centre, and G.S.M. International Company, a Chicago-based management consulting firm.
Ngoc-Hung Vu is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with an option in Management Information Systems and holds a Bachelor in Science in Economics from the Université de Montréal, as well as an MBA in Operation Research from Concordia University.

Ron was President and CEO of Simetra Inc. for nine years after leading a management buyout in 1991. During this period, he successfully grew Simetra's software and consulting business across Canada and the U.S. In the process, Ron co-founded a second software business that he built and eventually sold to a TSE listed company in February 2000. From 1984 to 1991, Ron held management positions in software sales and marketing. Ron joined BDC Venture Capital in September 2000 and currently sits on the Board of several Ottawa-based technology companies.
Ron Warburton is a registered professional engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Roger has been in the venture capital business for over 13 years. He joined BDC Venture Capital in 1987 at the Bank's head office in Montreal. In 1991, Roger moved on to gain direct operational experience by accepting a position with a major Canadian industrial distributor to manage their Quebec operations. Roger rejoined BDC Venture Capital in Toronto in 1993. He has been actively involved on the Board of Directors of several private and public high technology companies in various industries including software, IT services, electronics manufacturing and life sciences. Roger also served as Vice President of the Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA) and Chair of the CVCA's Professional Development Committee, where he continues to play an active role as a committee member.
Roger Wilson holds a BBA (Finance) from Acadia University and an MBA (Marketing) from Concordia University.

Jenny has extensive experience in the telecom industry, working over a three year period in Nortel's Hong Kong Wireless Product Marketing group, where she helped increase the wireless infrastructure business in Asia from $5M to $40M US. She was also an engineer with Telus, as well as a consultant with Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co., solving strategic business issues.
Jenny Yang holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from UBC and an MBA from INSEAD.
