Canada Post services many communities where the only access to the community is by air. These communities are called Air Stage Offices.

The casual mailer who sends the occasional letter and parcel to these isolated communities pays the normal rate outlined in the various rate charts for Lettermail, Parcel Post, XPRESSPOST and Priority Courier.

Any customer (individual or business) who ships more than 5 parcels or more than 20 kg of parcels on any day, or more than 20 parcels or more than 80 kg of parcels in any month is considered an Air Stage Shipper and must pay Air Stage Freight rates. Commercial shippers must also sign a "Commercial Air Stage Freight" supplement with CPC in order to use this service. An infrequent mailer who meets the volume or weight criteria can use the Air Stage Freight rates providing the goods shipped are not for resale. There are various rate levels based on the type of goods shipped.

Air Stage Freight Service Shippers: Air Stage Freight Service rates apply whether the mailer is a business or an individual. Other shippers: Appropriate Regular Post zoned parcel rates apply.
