Weather

The CWB's Weather and Crop Surveillance group assesses the impact of weather on grain crops in Western Canada and around the world. Weather and Crop Surveillance staff prepare 250 different estimates for major crops in 50 countries around the world. Daily weather information from more than 2,000 stations and weekly global satellite images provide information for assessing crop quality and yield potential in major grain growing regions. Crop production estimates are updated regularly and used to project grain supplies and important needs.
