Marketing Manager, Sales Policy and Planning

The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Sales Policy and Planning, and working in a team environment, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive operational, financial and economic analysis to forecast and plan marketing activities.  This will include: development and implementation of marketing strategies, policies and plans; performance measurement; revenue forecasting and financial results analysis. This position will also work directly with an area sales desk, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager and be responsible for development, execution and documentation of the area desk marketing plan. 

Our requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce or Agricultural Economics and/or equivalent related experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics or equivalent related experience.  Experience in financial analysis and business planning is required, as are strong conceptual skills with the ability to apply concepts to practical business applications and operations.  The candidate must be highly skilled in the evaluation and analysis of complex operational data and economic policies and have the ability to effectively communicate information in writing and through formal presentations.  Knowledge of Canadian and international grain markets, marketing experience, and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written in a second language such as Spanish, French or Mandarin would be considered assets.
