Final payments for 1999-2000 crop year announced
Winnipeg -- The CWB today announced the final payments that farmers
will receive for wheat, durum wheat, feed barley and designated
barley marketed by the CWB in the 1999-00 crop year. The crop year
began August 1, 1999 and ended July 31, 2000.
Final payments represent the balance of the money owing to farmers
after their grain has been sold by the CWB, and after operating
costs have been deducted. The cheques, dated January 2, 2001, will
be mailed on December 20, 2000, and received by direct deposit
January 2, 2001.
Final payments, in dollars per tonne, for the base grades in each
pool account are listed below.
The total payment is based on the value of grain in store at
Vancouver or the St. Lawrence.

Canada's biggest exporters and the largest net earner of foreign
currency. Marketing Prairie-grown wheat and barley to over 70

the costs of marketing, to farmers in Western Canada.
