Final payments for 1999-2000 crop year announced

Winnipeg -- The CWB today announced the final payments that farmers will receive for wheat, durum wheat, feed barley and designated barley marketed by the CWB in the 1999-00 crop year. The crop year began August 1, 1999 and ended July 31, 2000.

Final payments represent the balance of the money owing to farmers after their grain has been sold by the CWB, and after operating costs have been deducted. The cheques, dated January 2, 2001, will be mailed on December 20, 2000, and received by direct deposit January 2, 2001.
