Guy Debailleul

Mr. Debailleul is the chair for international development and a full professor with the Département d’économie agroalimentaire et des sciences de la consommation at Laval University.

Mr. Debailleul holds a Ph.D. in the economics of agricultural development from the Institut National Agronomique de Paris-Grignon in France, a diploma from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Paris, and an agrologist diploma from the Institut National Agronomique also in Paris. He teaches in the areas of economics, natural resource policy and environmental policy. His research focuses on how agriculture evolves, the analysis of agricultural and environmental issues, and how agriculture, territory and rural areas are interrelated.
