Jean-Claude Dufour holds a bachelor of science in agriculture from Université Laval (1971), a master's degree in agricultural economics also from Université Laval (1973) and a Ph.D. in administrative sciences with a specialization in distribution from Michigan State University (1981). He has been teaching marketing in the department of agri-food economics and consumer science at Université Laval since January 1977. Over the course of his career, Jean-Claude has served as a professional consultant to businesses, government departments and professional agencies in Quebec, in other parts of Canada and in the United States. He has mentored some 60 master’s and Ph.D students and presented at over 350 conferences all over the world. He has published approximately 20 research reports and some 30 scientific publications.
