Drive Away Hunger
This year’s tour collected 350,845 pounds of food!
To all the sponsors, supporters and employees that helped make Drive Away Hunger 2006 a big success, we thank you.
FCC is committed to raising awareness about rural hunger. Our commitment to feed people is employee-driven.
Over the years, Farm Credit Canada employees have formed an alliance against hunger by organizing World Food Day campaigns and volunteering their time for activities across the country.
This year, the third annual Drive Away Hunger Tour is province-wide in Ontario, October 10 to 16.
A team of FCC employees will drive two 100-hp tractors with 16-ft trailers, one from Windsor, one from Ottawa – both heading for Guelph as they collect 100,000 pounds of food for the hungry.
After driving two tractors several hundred miles across Ontario, in eight days, we’ll hit our target and donate 100,000 pounds of food to the Ontario Association of Food Banks.
