December 24, 2004
(Letter sent to the Editor of the London Free Press)
Dear Editor:
I would like to respond to the December 20th article, "MP queries use of mail for sending passport."
Canada Post has been a partner with Passport Canada since 2002 and has maintained a solid record of successfully delivering passports to Canadians. Canada Post delivers passports by our secure Xpresspost product with a signature required upon delivery. There is nothing on the item that would identify the contents as a passport.
Canada Post's long reputation of trust and security of the mail can provide confidence to Canadians that their passports will be delivered without incident.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
John Caines
