Duties: Under the direction of the Local Postal Official you will be responsible for sorting, collecting and delivering mail items within specified route(s). You will be responsible for carrying out your duties in accordance with operational specifications, corporate standards and policies as well as ensure the corporate image is preserved at all times.

In accordance with the collective agreement the routes may be reviewed, from time to time, which may either increase and / or decrease your income and hours of work. Number hours of work per 5.18 hrs 5 days a week.

The yearly salary of $23,047.42 includes a vehicle allowance. The employee will be responsible for providing and maintaining the vehicle.

Vehicle Insurance: You must provide a certificate of your Commercial Insurance with a liability of at least $1,000,000

Driver's License: Valid Provincial Driver's License for type of vehicle required.

Driver's Abstract: You must provide your driver's abstract for the past 2 years.

Criminal Record Name Check: All applicants for this position will be required to provide authorization and consent in writing to Corporate Representatives to conduct a National Criminal Record Name Check.

Physical Requirements: You must have the capacity to carry and lift items up to 30 kgs (66 lbs). You will be required to sign a confirmation that you can perform all of the physical duties of this position.

Probation: All new employees of Canada Post will be on probation for a period of 6 months.

Helper: If the position requires you to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, the successful candidate will be responsible to recruit a helper.

Replacement: The successful candidate will also have to recruit a qualified replacement for purposes of leave and / or unexpected absences.

Both the Helper and Replacement worker must meet the Canada Post security standards.
