The Citadelle in Quebec

CitadelleWelcome to the Governor General’s residence at the Citadelle of Quebec. This splendid heritage structure overlooking the Saint Lawrence River has been the second official home to every Governor General of Canada since 1872.

Now open for public guided tours all summer long, visitors can explore this outstanding residence in the heart of Quebec City’s historic quarter. Enjoy the breathtaking views and striking collection of Canadian art, objects and furnishings, both historic and contemporary, while learning about the central role of the Governor General in Canada’s public life.

Guided tours of the residence are free. The guides are looking forward to a great turnout this summer.
