Skating at Rideau Hall
Bundle up and stroll through grounds and don’t forget to bring your skates and take a spin through history at Rideau Hall’s skating rink. This rink was originally built in 1872 by Lord Dufferin, Canada’s third Governor General. Along with his wife Lady Dufferin, who soon became a keen skater, he organised many skating parties during his mandate at Rideau Hall. Hours: The skating rink is open January 7 to March 19, 2006, weather permitting. Skating schedule may vary depending on weather conditions.
Note: This rink is exclusively for pleasure skating - hockey games are not permitted. Rideau Hall is a working residence and official events may require unforeseen changes to your visit. |
