 Challenge: Reporting to the Director, Communications, Central Area. Take responsibility for strategy, planning and implementation of communications programs, primarily external, but which may have internal repercussions; for production and dissemination in both official languages of documents and speeches intended for specific Canada Post audiences; and for special initiatives to support client groups, especially Operations. Also play an active role in establishing and managing relations with the media and elected officials, and act as official spokesperson for the Corporation, and coordinate development of informative material, strategies and programs to protect the Corporation's image and reputation. Analyse and assess critical issues, develop management and control plans for each, and work in conjunction with Corporation authorities on managing these issues and crises.
 
  
 Education: University degree in Communications or Public Relations, or an acceptable combination of education and related experience.
 
  
 Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the field of Media Relations.

Extensive experience in internal and external communications.

Extensive experience in issues management.
 

  
 Other Requirements: Some travel required
