Governor General Adrienne Clarkson and John Ralston Saul hosted the first ever Governor General's Youth Forum at Rideau Hall from February 13-17, 2002. The four-day forum brought together more than 100 young people from every region of Canada to talk about community involvement. The forum is part of the year-long 50th anniversary celebrations of the nomination of the first Canadian Governor General, Vincent Massey, in 1952.
