Canadian Forces Decoration

General Rick J. Hillier, C. M. M., C. S. M., C. D., Chief of the Defence Staff, presented the Canadian Forces’ Decoration to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, during a ceremony at Rideau Hall on October 21, 2005. Introduced in 1951, the Canadian Forces' Decoration is presented to each new governor general as the Commander-in-Chief of Canada.
