Ottawa - September 19, 2006 - Today Canada Post introduced a new way to save a penny with the launch of the PERMANENTTM stamp. The PERMANENT stamp will always be worth the going rate, eliminating the need for Canadians to purchase 1¢ stamps to match postal increases. No more searching under the couch in order to find your hidden cache of pennies!

To celebrate the introduction of the PERMANENT stamp, Canada Post has weighed in with its 2 cents regarding some favourite quotes related to the beloved Penny.

A penny for your thoughts (Sir Thomas More):
With the penny you’ll save with the PERMANENT stamp from Canada Post, you can invest in some great ideas.
