Governor General Adrienne Clarkson presents the Medal of Bravery to Deputy Sheriff Jody Kuntz. During a routine prisoner escort by air to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, the detainee suddenly tried to leap from the plane. Despite her dramatic and life-threatening efforts to keep hold of the man, he freed himself and fell to his death.
