Order of Merit of the Police forces Investiture Ceremony

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, presided at the investiture of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces on Friday, May 19, 2006, at Rideau Hall.

For distinguished achievements and exemplary leadership in addressing front-line policing challenges in Ontario and Canada, and for demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility for the well-being of police officers and the community.
