Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, takes time to meet people from Saskatchewan during a walkabout in the Queen Elizabeth Gardens outside Saskatchewan’s Legislative Assembly in Regina on May 8, 2006. The Governor General conducted her first regional visit to Saskatchewan from May 8 to 10, 2006. During her three-day visit, Her Excellency focused on activities that empowered groups of diverse backgrounds, from youth and First Nations to residents of North Central Regina’s inner city, to be heard.
