Your Rights

If you work for an employer who has Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage, you have certain rights and responsibilities under the Workers' Compensation Act. Many of your rights include the benefits and services provided by your coverage.

Additional rights include:

  • You have the right to collect and use the benefits and services provided by this coverage as set out in the Workers' Compensation Act, Regulations and Policy Manual.
  • You have the right to see a health-care professional of your choice. There may be circumstances when we may also require you to see another health-care professional of our choosing or your employer's choosing.
  • You have the right to provide new medical evidence about your condition.
  • You have the right to appeal a WCB decision.
