We have a broad range of programs and services to increase awareness and encourage the adoption of best practices when it comes to workplace health and safety.  Topics are designed to address specific needs and audiences.

Priority Employer Program (PEP): a coaching service provided to select employers based on their rate of injury and costs to the system and the industry group. Employers most in need of a helping hand receive direct assistance to help them reduce rates which benefits everybody in the industry group, and ultimately, the whole system.

Safety Incentive Program (SIP): a financial incentive that adjusts rates according to injury cost experience and rewards companies who take proactive steps to prevent injuries and reduce costs.

Certificate of Recognition (COR): a WCB certificate awarded to companies who successfully pass a health and safety systems audit, rewarding those who focus on working safely.

My Account: an online tool to assist companies in managing their premiums through analyzing claims data (and more!) for the purpose of reducing workplace injuries.

Education and Awareness: find out what tools and resources we can provide to help make your workplace safe and reduce your company’s premiums.

OHS Research Grant: a program that supports research projects that contribute to a reduction in or the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses in Nova Scotia.

Advertising Campaigns: view our most recent ads and learn how you can prevent workplace injuries.

Health & Safety 101: a free, online program that provides young workers with basic occupational health and safety training to help prepare them for the workplace.
