  3. What Items are acceptable as Incentive Lettermail?

    The following Items are acceptable: a letter, postcard, a receipt, an invoice or similar financial document, an annual, semi-annual or quarterly report, a survey, a notice of voting for federal, provincial or municipal events, product/service information or other mail that meets size specifications and other requirements of the service.

  8. Can I deposit Incentive Lettermail in a mailbox?

    No. Incentive Lettermail Items cannot be deposited in mailboxes, parcel receptacles or other mail receptacles.

    All Incentive Lettermail Items must be deposited with an authorized employee of Canada Post at any postal facility approved by Canada Post.

  9. How will I be affected as an Incentive Lettermail customer if I continue to use manual Order (Statement of Mailing) forms?

    Orders submitted using the manual Order (Statement of Mailing) forms no longer enjoy the benefits of incentive prices. In the case of Incentive Lettermail Items, the mailings are subject to the applicable Basic Lettermail or Other Lettermail price as indicated on the Price sheet. In addition, the $5 manual Order processing fee is still applicable.

  10. What is the Electronic Shipping Tool (EST) software and how does it benefit me as a customer?

    EST is an Internet-based shipping tool that automates the preparation and processing of Statements of Mailing and Manifests for Mailing with Canada Post. For the customer, it reduces paperwork, saves time and improves billing/transaction accuracy, allows for online payment, provides access to incentive prices and any potential volume discounts, to name but a few. EST is available free of charge at www.canadapost.ca/obc.
