Music under a Midnight Moon
Back by popular demand, Platypus Theatre teams up with the National Arts Centre Orchestra to present the internationally acclaimed “Music under a midnight moon.” Without a single spoken word, this symphony program uses an original score and a rich repertoire of Romantic and 20th century works to weave the magic of an inspiring tale.
While struggling to overcome their hardships, two tramps discover that music and beauty exist all around them and within each one of us. The program creatively explores the fundamental building blocks of music - melody, harmony, rhythm and dynamics - and involves the audience in the creation of symphonic music. Don't forget to sing along or bring your recorders to perform Brahms Lullaby!
