8 Wing/CFB Trenton is located on the Bay of Quinte, within easy driving distance from Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto. Within a few hours drive from the base are the many social, cultural and recreational activities offered by these cities.
While Toronto is home to four professional sports teams (hockey, football, basketball and baseball) and everything a modern metropolis has to offer. Canada's capital city, with its historic Parliament buildings, the Rideau Canal, many festivals and sporting events, a professional hockey
team and more than 29 museums, is a fun vacation destination for everyone, at any time of the year.
Closer to CFB Trenton, the City of Quinte West and its surrounding areas
provide their own share of activities and facilities. The city of Belleville offers many services as well. The Bay of Quinte, the town of Brighton, and Sandbanks Provincial Park will appeal to those in search of beautiful scenery.
The RCAF Memorial Museum, Canada’s national air force museum, is a must-see for aviation history buffs and those with an interest in CFB Trenton history. It features a unique display of military aircraft and RCAF memorabilia, including a completely restored Halifax bomber.
