Bristol Type 142M Bolingbroke

Canadian Fairchild produced the prototype Bolingbroke I - a license-built version of the Bristol Blenheim IV bomber. The Bolingbroke IV completed production as a bomber after the 151st of this version but was ordered back into production as a trainer in which role some hundreds saw service with the BCATP (British Commonwealth Air Training Plan).

The Bolingbroke was a Canadian version of the Bristol Blenheim. It was used during the war as a coastal patrol Aircraft and a training Aircraft at various Bombing and Gunnery Schools across Canada. This one, 9892, served with numbers 1 and 4 Training Command prior to being added to the National Aeronautical Collection, on display at the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa
