Boeing 247D

The Boeing 247D served with the RCAF from 1940 to 1942. The one pictured here, 7635, was flown by 121 Composite Squadron and is flying over RCAF Station Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the squadron's home during the war. RCAF Station Dartmouth is today known as 12 Wing Shearwater. The 247D was used by 121 Squadron for light transportation and target-towing duties during its two year career in the RCAF.
