The Whirlwind was a British licensed copy of the Sikorsky S-55 helicopter produced in the United States. It also served in the RCAF from 1954 until 1966, called the H-19, performing transport and search and rescue duties. This RAF Whirlwind is in flight over Cyprus in the mid-60s, providing transport and reconnaissance to the Canadian Army contigent there.
