G-CYGK was the RCAF's only Avro Wright (T.S. (Two Seat) patrol AWS ( Avro Wright Seaplane)) and it saw service from 14 July, 1925 to 17 January, 1930 when it was struck off strength after having suffered a Category A accident at Orillia, Ontario on 26 September, 1929. 'GK was used for photographic work at Ottawa until May 1928 when it was transferred to Camp Borden as a trainer after being converted to a landlane and being fitted with a Wright J-5 engine. At this time its original RCAF registration was also changed to the serial 12.
