The mission of the 722 Support Squadron is two fold.

• The members assigned to the unit Orderly Room provide section administration, finance, personnel, transportation, medical and host of other required support function to US personnel and their families assigned to North Bay.
  
• We have personnel assigned to 22 Wing, 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron, and 51 Aerospace Control and Warning (Operational Training) Squadron.

The 32 American personnel belonging to the USAF's 722 Squadron work in the underground complex of the Canadian Sector Air Operations Centre (SAOC).

They are responsible for providing operational resources, aerospace surveillance and control, attack warning and assessment, counter-drug operations and damage-limiting operations in defence of North America.

The Squadron also provides centralized control of aerospace resources for all of Canada and identifies all air breathing movements into Canada. At the same time, the Squadron ensures bi-national forces are trained, equipped and prepared for air sovereignty of Canada and carries out national policies as directed.
